Austria, Weiten-Raxendorf 1411

A thief stole a consecrated host from the parish church of Weiten. During his escape, he lost it without noticing. Days later, a devout woman discovered the precious Body of Christ—divided in two, but held together by bloody strips of flesh and shining with a supernatural light. The discovery led to the construction of a chapel, which soon became the destination of numerous pilgrims.
