Germany, Erding 1417

A farmer stole a consecrated host on Holy Thursday, hoping for worldly gain. But the host slipped from his grasp, floated into the air, and could not be seized by him or the priest. Only after the bishop had a chapel built in honor of the miracle could it be recovered. To this day, Erding remains a place of pilgrimage and prayer.
