Germany, Augsburg 1194

A stolen host transformed into bleeding flesh, which visibly changed over the course of several months. The miracle was venerated by the bishop and the people, and to this day the relic—known as the “wunderbarliche Gut” (“miraculous good”)—is kept in the Holy Cross Monastery. Several ecclesiastical investigations confirmed that it is human blood and flesh.
