Belgium, Herkenrode-Hasselt 1317

When a priest wanted to bring Communion to a dying person, he found the host bloody and inseparably stuck to the pyx. Later, in the Abbey of Herkenrode, the face of Christ appeared in the host, and numerous miracles were reported. The relic is now kept in St. Quentin’s Cathedral in Hasselt and is the object of devout veneration.
